Asylum seeking Afghan migrant with a criminal record arrested for running over 30 people in Germany with a car

A 24-year-old asylum seeking Afghan migrant has been arrested as a suspect of the terrorist attack that occurred in Munich, Germany on Thursday, when he ran over approximately 30 people with a Mini Cooper car and injured them very badly. Some of the victims were small children, German news website, Bild reports.

The suspect, that has managed to get criminal record while living in Germany for drug and theft offenses, drove into a crowd people who were demonstrating.

Eventually, the police arrived and shot at the car window. The incident police commander stated at a press conference afterwards: “The car approached the gathering from behind and then drove into the crowd. The police then shot at the vehicle.”

An eyewitness demonstrator reported that the car hit a woman with a child. The demonstrator said: “Mother and child are said to have been lying under the car.”
